The seventh week of my internship began with our established Monday morning protocol, where I managed the QR code scanning system to record the attendance of LGU employees prior to the Flag Raising Ceremony. This consistent task has allowed me to witness the reliability of the city digital personnel tracking over time.
From March 24 to March 26, our team was mobilized for a high-priority data management project. In response to the continuous rise in fuel prices caused by the ongoing Middle East conflict, the City Government of Kidapawan launched a Fuel Subsidy Initiative for local transport providers. I was tasked with the critical responsibility of encoding and validating the information of drivers and driver-operators within the city.
This data entry and verification process is essential to ensure that the subsidy reaches the intended beneficiaries accurately and efficiently. Working on this project provided me with a firsthand look at how the ICTO supports social welfare programs through data organization, ensuring that government aid is distributed based on a verified digital database.
