Period: March 9 – March 12, 2026 (10-hour shifts)
This week marked a significant change in the LGU’s operational schedule. Following the mandate from Mayor Atty. Jose Paolo Evangelista, all city offices transitioned to a 4-day workweek (7:00 AM – 6:00 PM) as an energy and fuel conservation measure in response to the ongoing Middle East conflicts. This shift made for a highly intensive and productive week at the ICTO.
My primary focus this week was the finalization and deployment of the PDAO Identification Card Automated System. After weeks of coordination, I conducted a comprehensive system walkthrough and training session with the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) personnel, headed by Mr. Louie A. Quebec. During the presentation, I demonstrated the system core functionalities, including data entry and automated ID generation, and addressed user-end questions to ensure a smooth transition. Following the successful orientation, I proceeded with the official installation and configuration of the system, making it ready for immediate live use.
In addition to the software deployment, I performed essential hardware maintenance by cleaning and optimizing several system units within the office. Balancing these technical support tasks with the successful rollout of my first major automation project made this one of my most impactful weeks as an intern.
