OJT Weekly Updates: Week 2
The second week of my internship at the ICTO focused on a mix of administrative support, community engagement, and the start of a significant development project. On February 16, the week began with the weekly Flag Raising Ceremony, where I assisted in managing the digital attendance through QR code scanning. Later that day, I performed technical support tasks, including returning a serviced printer to the Accounting Office. I also visited the Human Resources (HR) department to coordinate and clarify the specific information required for our Daily Time Records (DTR), ensuring our documentation remains accurate.
On February 18, our office hosted students from Kalaisan National High School for their work immersion. I took an active role in welcoming them and assisted in the production and issuance of their office IDs to ensure they were properly documented during their stay at the LGU.
The latter part of the week was dedicated to technical development. On February 19, I spent time coding and familiarizing myself with the office development environment, punctuated by a field task where I delivered a printer to another department. By February 20, I was fully immersed in a major project: the development of the Person with Disability (PWD) Affairs Office ID Generator System. This system is designed to streamline the creation of identification cards for the association, and I spent the day focusing on the backend logic and interface design.
